A three day festival with poetry readings, presentation of the awards for the poetry competition held annually in spring, workshops and literary events (talks, book presentations) held since 2001.
On Lake Orta in north Italy every autumn, usually the first or second weekend in October. Among poets present at previous celebrations: Al Alvarez, the great critic and poet; Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate UK; Dado Magradze, former Minister of Culture in Georgia; James Harpur (Ireland); Gillian Clarke, former National Poet of Wales; Imtiaz Dharker from Pakistan, Mario Petrucci. Most but not all the readings are in English; we often have readings in two or more languages. The events are held in or around the small but delightful lakeside town of Orta San Giulio.
